2nd Birthday
Happy Birthday, Mom!
Sadly, this toon isn’t far from the truth… I stink at time-management and deadlines… therefore I usually… well, I’ll jus’ refer you back to today’s cartoon.

I got your darling card, another masterpiece!! I save them all through the years! I so love Harold! Wishing we were celebrating together, but just think….I get to celebrate with the Squid gang and all their friends! Miss you Brig!
Love, Mom
PS arrived day before First Birthday!!!
All I can say is, “Thank God for “Happy Belated Birthday” cards!” I can remember useless stuff…..like the names of members of rock bands from the seventies…..but I can’t remember to send birthday cards on time. Or send payments in on time. Etc. Etc.
P.S. Happy Birthday Brig’s Mom!
Yeas! Happy Birthday MommaDonna!
I’m one of those mythical husbands who never forgets an anniversary or a birthday. (And gives terrific gifts, too!) Yesterday was my wife’s birthday and everyone remember except her! She had to go in to work because she forgot to take the day off, so we’re celebrating tonight.
“A good husband is a man who always remembers his wife’s birthday but never her age.”
– Robert Frost (paraphrased)
I’ve met your mom; she’s a delightful lady and very supportive of your career. Happy Birthday, Brig’s mom!
I can’t help wondering if there was ever the temptation in your family to combine her B’day and Mother’s Day, the way mine did with my December birthday and Christmas? “Oh thanks, folks, new underwear AND school clothes!”
Thanks, you guys, for wishing my Mom a Happy Birthday! You’s is swell, really!
& Kona… (are you a spy?) …our family never combined prezzies… We celebrated two separate holidays there… Mom & Mom’s Day. I must say that I always felt sorry for those whose b-days fell so close to other holidays. Growin’ up, our birthdays were (and still are) spread out for easylike-ness (good goin’ Mah) … April (Mah), July (sister), Aug (bruddah), Sept (me), Dec (Pops). … and no, my birthday doesn’t fall on Nat’l Coffee Day… like Randie’s. sigh.
Dear Jude, Orcbuddy, Kona and… Pete-(Happy “Late” Birthday to your wife,
Thanks you for the birthday wishes, and Kona for your kind words!
I”m having a wonderful day, 29 again.. or is it 39? Can’t remember….
Brig’s Mom
Happy Bday from me as well. ^^
Yah, Pete (the good husband)… Happy Late Boythday to yer wifee.
Mom: If you’re 39… that’d make me… hmmm… who cares, there’s cake!
Hmmmm, cake. ^^ *takes a piece*
I happened to be traveling through Salinas with MY mom (she’s 86 and still feisty) on our way to visit my daughter and her family in Redding the night of your print media launch party, and your mom was there to lend her support. Everybody was really nice.
So, no, not a spy or stalker or anything, just a fan. 🙂
I LOL when my kids moan about being 30 and 40. I’m grateful for my health and prosperity, whatever my age.
