When an event is coupled with some horrible disaster, you can’t help to associate the two. When Ryan last left town for a writers convention in Portland, Randie’s house went up in flames. In her mind, the two are linked.

Yep… it’s Murphy’s Law. Whenever you dress to impress, feel overly confident, or get a new man-bag, you are bound to change a flat tire! … or something like that.
Impressions of those we meet are often what they (the meeted) project. Bits of truth are often magnified… and editing is all important. One might even say that this sort of “projection” is an art form.
