Cartoon-a-tron ready for SVCC
Hi Ho, Squiddies…
Just a reminder that NEXT Friday is the Firstest ever Salinas Valley Comic Con at the National Steinbeck Center. Come participate from 4-9pm and enjoy tables of cartoony-type people, events, panels and other such tooney happenings. See the events page for more details or visit Steinbeck.org. And if you are a Back to the Future fan, you WON’T be disappointed. The Squid Row table will be sporting the Cartoon-a-tron where if you feed it a 5 bucks, it will spit out a cartoon for you! If you put in multiple 5 dollar bills… you don’t know WHAT you might get! The machine gets a little crazy at times…
Also at my table, you will be able to pick up copies of the latest Art-o-Rama and meet this issue’s guest artist AnaMarie Morales (and a former guest artist, Chris Dreyer)… They will have their own tables selling their own groovy wares.
In any case… Drop in on the Salinas Art Walk going on at the same time-ish (5-8 or 9pm)… stores, music, restaurants… Patria is now open in Old Town and is a rather classy restaurant and wine bar.
February 7th is going to be rather eventful … so mark your calendar and don’t miss!
