Art Holiday Fun
So… I HEART Art day is, in this strip, January 8th, exactly one week after New Year’s Day. You have the option of celebrating it on the weekend, making it I Heart Art Day observed. So it’s an official unofficial Squid Row holiday. Homemade wonky paper hats are customary, as is Nutella or some such yummy spread. You can visit a gallery, museum, make art, make art with kids, old people, friends and family… send out silly art cards with quotes from artists, you can make palette shaped cookies, eat heartichoke dip and chips, you can watch art films about artists, paint a picture… go make it your own!
I think I shall have to celebrate this year’s I ❤ART Day tomorrow. But next year I’ll be prepared to celebrate it on the correct day!
Names for colors are soo subjective. Next time, use Pantone numbers.
I Heart Squid Row Day should be every day!
