When Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets came out, I was terrified by the scene with Aragog and the millions of spiders… at that same time, there was the second Lord of the Rings film with the scary spider who went after Frodo (was this a weird coincidence or what?!)… I cringe in my seat now, just thinking about the scenes! J’ai deteste spiders!!!!

Bug zap… hell, if I saw that, I’d go to sleep with a bloody shotgun!
YOU and ME both! I hate friggin’ spiders! I think the actual spider was probably much smaller… but if I’m in a room and there’s a spider in there with me, IT gets my FULL attention! (funny, as I’m writing this, I keep spelling my last name “spicer” instead of “spider”…. out of habit, I’m sure… there’s uh, no weird connection or anything… just one consonant away…. )
I was so terrified of that scene too!!! I honestly was clinging to my friend for dear life in the seats at the theatre and when I had to watch it again I just skipped over those scenes! eeeeeeeee Aragog! *runs*
actually, the spider from Lord of the Rings (Shelob) was in the third film
