Mirror
There’s no way to hide from a shiner like that! The last thing you wanna do is be seen by the person you most want to impress! Instead, he gives you a ride home.
I love the movie Sense & Sensibility with Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet. There are a lot of knights in shining, er, boots… in that film… some on horseback. I see Randie with that sense of longing… and disappointment (oop, is that foreshadowing?)…
This is SO-O-O-O-O my daughter! She was so easily distracted by everything around her when she was young, and walked into, at various times:
a Sign post
the outside mirror of a car
the gascap cover of our van
low-hanging tree limbs
So, Randie, I can completely comprehend what you are going through. And I am laughing heartily at your antics.
*Aha!* I KNEW there was a reason frozen peas existed. (Certainly not for eating…)
Is it foreshadowing? We can only wait and see …
Ice pack(er, pea pack rather) bonding! I so called it :)!
Is it bad if the thought of Quasimodo in a fistfight made me laugh?
Author Terry Pratchett always makes sure he has bags of frozen peas handy when he’s doing book signings 🙂 Probably because they’re more flexible than ice-in-a-bag ice packs 🙂
And Meghan, don’t laugh about Quasimodo being in a fist fight. He’d just get the hump… *cough*
Well, I wanted to use frozen corn… because Randie likes eating frozen corn right out of the bag (as do I)… but a yellow bag next to Randie’s yellow hair just wouldn’t have worked! Peas to the rescue.
Pea note: I just discovered that reconstituted dried peas are much tastier than frozen peas. Mmmm… in a slow cooking situation with browned onions…
DCS…. does your daughter still run into things? bag o’peas helps.
Yellow? Are you colorizing the dailies but not showing them?
Ah, yes, yellow… The Herald newspaper runs their comics in color… so every week I do Squid in color for them… BUT… things have a way of changing… in the near future… hint, hint…
