If a mob boss, or at least a lieutenant, shows up at your place of work with a couple soldiers (muscle-bound enforcers) in tow, should you worry more if the guy is frowning or smiling?
stick… undertaker is a good analogy… do undertakers smile? Mafia dons… smile? Thankfully I don’t know any… and I tend to stay away from movies that involve smiling or unsmiling mobsters.
brig… Oh, I imagine undertakers smile big when folks pay in advance for overpriced affairs including lotsa flowers, a fancy metal casket, limos, strolling marichis and an Elvis impersonator as master of ceremonies.
As for mobsters, as I understand it, they smile good-naturedly at members in good-standing in their own “family.” However, If you’re not a contributing member of their family or neighborhood and you’re being smiled at, duck and quack a lot, “Aflac, aflac, AFLAC!”
